I began my programming journey at the age of 14, starting with Java during my time at HAK Imst in Tyrol, Austria. The problem-solving aspect of programming captivated me from the beginning, with my early challenges revolving around tasks like correctly rotating sprites to bounce off walls in a game.
As I progressed through school, I encountered larger and more complex technologies and problems. I expanded my skillset to include languages such as PHP and JavaScript, along with a strong focus on web development. During this period, I gained experience with various database systems, frameworks, and best practices in the industry. However, I quickly realized that web development wasn't my true passion. In my final years at school, I began contemplating my future in IT and sought out areas that genuinely excited me. I initiated projects in Unity, although I found myself hitting roadblocks. Exploring Arduino projects, like building binary counters, reignited my interest. Additionally, I dabbled in Python, a new language for me at the time, which further broadened my horizons.
My internships grew increasingly engaging, solidifying my desire to pursue a career in IT. It was during the last semester of school that I made the decision to study IT at the University of Innsbruck.
Since fall 2023, I have been studying IT in Innsbruck, enjoying both my academic journey and all the new things I get to learn and try at home. For example, this homepage is self-hosted, which has been a particularly rewarding project. It is a pleasure to combine my academic knowledge with hands-on experience, continuously fueling my passion for IT.
